HMWhite, an award-winning NYC Landscape Architecture and Urban Design firm, is seeking enthusiastic and creative landscape architects with five (5) – eight (8) years professional experience who are eager to join a collaborative team of resolute design professionals. As a HMWhite project landscape architect, candidates will have opportunities to work on a range of high-profile urban commercial, institutional, urban housing, and civic landscape projects. Our SoHo studio is currently operating in a hybrid remote and in-office format by upholding US CDC working environmental guidelines. We are flexible in meeting candidates’ working environment preferences. Skills and Credentials Requirements:

• MLA or BLA degree in Landscape Architecture
• Mastery of AutoCAD, MS Office, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite programs, Lumion, and highly proficient in 3D modeling; Rhino, Sketch-Up, and LandFX. Working knowledge of REVIT is a bonus.
• High proficiency in methodical design process; multiple rendering and graphic design skills.
• Experience in oral and visual presentation skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, task prioritizing, effective delegation and their oversight
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Landscape Designer Internship

HMWhite, an award-winning landscape architecture design practice is seeking Design Interns to work in our New York City SoHo studio. Our clients include internationally acclaimed architectural firms, Fortune 500 companies, domestic and international real estate developers, municipal governments, property managers, and private citizens.

The Design Intern will collaborate with a team of dynamic and highly creative professionals, assisting with all aspects of work. Our Interns are fully integrated into our project teams, from research to design, to drafting and rendering. We are looking for ambitious, creative forward thinkers to contribute to our team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in completion of landscape design projects
• Assist in drafting the layout of projects in collaboration with the Landscape Architect
• Assist in preparing design concept packages and presentations
• Assist in preparing landscape architectural project plan sets using 2D + 3D software
• Work closely with the Landscape Architect and other team members to produce construction drawings
• Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, collaboration, and design work in drawing, modeling, and 3D image formats
• Creation of 3D visualizations using various modeling software
• Design and detailing documentation in AutoCAD
• Attend project and client meetings with design professionals
• Interact with and be a representative of the company with clients and contractors as it relates to on-going projects

CANDIDATE SKILLS:

• Enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field, such as Architecture, Urban Planning
• Proficient in design software including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Lumion and 3D modeling software such as Rhino, Sketchup
• Initiative-taking team player with attention to detail, and willingness to collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Project Management, organization and time management skills, and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
